Seeing in the Dark

Elul 28/September 3, 2013— On a dark night I came upon a blind man carrying a torch. I asked him why he had need of it, after all he could not see. The blind man answered with these simple words, ‘I carry this light so that people may see me.’

For reflection: We help ourselves when we help others. Our actions create an aura around us of which other people take notice. Think about the kind of aura that you create around yourself. What qualities would you keep? How would you like to be different? How are your relationships improved by others knowing you and seeing you?
